The 3-D Animation Engine tool demonstrates the new OfficeArt rendering platform in Office Excel 2007. You can use the tool to apply three-dimensional animation to shapes. By stepping through the VBA code and looking at the recorded tracks, you can use it the 3-D Animation Engine like a macro recorder to learn how to programmatically manipulate OfficeArt in the 2007 Office system.

When you are working programmatically with OfficeArt objects, the 3-D Animation Engine tool can provide you with some of the properties that are necessary to animate three-dimensional objects.
