Legacy Update: Get back online, activate, and install updates on your legacy Windows PC

TypeScript is a language for application-scale JavaScript. TypeScript adds optional types, classes, and modules to JavaScript. TypeScript supports tools for large-scale JavaScript applications for any browser, for any host, on any OS. TypeScript compiles to clean, readable, standards-based JavaScript. This power tool adds TypeScript support to Visual Studio 2012.

• For Visual Studio 2013, install Update 2 or later.
• For Visual Studio 2015, install RTM or later.

If you choose to move from the standalone TypeScript power tool to the supported update, please uninstall standalone versions of the TypeScript Visual Studio plugin before installing Visual Studio Updates that contain the TypeScript component as a supported component. This includes Visual Studio 2013 Update 2 and later.

TypeScript for Visual Studio 2012 will install when Visual Studio 2012 is not installed, and provide the TypeScript compiler. To integrate the development tools after installing Visual Studio 2012, you must reinstall TypeScript for Visual Studio 2012.
